Scott Young founded Nautical Navigation Services after realizing the extraordinary benefits that GPS technology offered to sailing and powerboat navigation.
Scott at the helm of the 40' Sloop Invictus
Scott, his wife Helen, and his children have been sailing in Boston Harbor, along the New England Coast, the Cape and Islands, and throughout the US and British Virgin Islands for more than a decade. Having grown up on Lake Winnipesaukee, Scott has also logged 30+ yrs of freshwater boating experience.
In 2000 Scott & Helen were both certified by the American Sailing Association to skipper 30-50' sailboats. They have both passed the USCGA Boating Skills & Seamanship, USCG National Safe Boating, ASA Keelboat Sailing (101), ASA Coastal Cruising (103) and ASA Bareboat Chartering (104) courses. Scott is also a PADI certified SCUBA diver.
